IT Systems Specialist

Department: ADM - Administration
Location: , CA

COMPENSATION: $72,000 to $112,000 annual plus excellent benefits. This is a full-time non-exempt position.

*** This position is on-site in our DTLA office with occasional local travel to work-sites***

ORGANIZATIONAL BACKGROUND

PACE was founded in 1976 to provide job training and placement services for the Asian Pacific Islander communities in Los Angeles. PACE has since expanded into a variety of service areas, all tailored to meet the growing and changing needs of the multi-ethnic communities in Los Angeles County. Now, in addition to job training and employment services, significant PACE programs encompass: business development; early childhood education (Head Start); financial education and asset building; housing and rehabilitation services; weatherization and energy-conservation programs; and affordable housing development. PACE serves more than 40,000 people each year with our wide scope of services with approximately 350+ staff. PACE is recognized as a leader in addressing problems of poverty and economic inequity in ethnic minority communities and has a reputation of being responsive to community needs and is known for creating innovative solutions to the myriad of challenges faced by our clients.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

PACE is seeking a skilled and motivated IT Systems Specialist to join our team. Our organization relies on various software systems, including JIRA, Salesforce, Barracuda, and others, to drive operational efficiency and support business functions. The IT Systems Specialist will primarily focus on Salesforce administration, project management, and overseeing IT operations to ensure smooth functioning and optimal performance of our systems. Other duties include imaging new computers; following e-waste procedures; traveling to local PACE offices and locations; assisting with hardware pricing; updating technical documentation; presenting IT resources to staff and working on additional IT related requests as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary administrator for Salesforce, including configuration, customization, and maintenance of the platform.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions within Salesforce.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for Salesforce processes, workflows, and system configurations.
  • Work closely with internal teams and external contractors to manage Salesforce projects, including implementation, upgrades, and integrations.
  • Monitor IT dashboard for system health, performance metrics, and security alerts.
  • Manage and maintain the email spam filter to minimize spam and security threats.
  • Log, prioritize, and assign incident tickets to appropriate IT support staff for resolution.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving IT support tickets, providing technical assistance to end-users as needed.
  • Collaborate with the IT Administrator to assist in IT project management and documentation.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Assist in documentation and process creation for other software systems like JIRA, Barracuda, and other IT platforms.
  • Provide support and assistance with IT support tickets beyond Salesforce issues.
  • Assist the IT Administrator in coordinating and managing IT projects, including working with contractors and vendors.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics, or a related field.
  • At least two years of related work experience
  • General understanding of Salesforce platform, including configuration, customization, and integration capabilities.
  • Experience in project management, particularly in overseeing Salesforce projects from initiation to completion.
  • Proficient in documenting processes and procedures related to IT systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive and analytical mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Attention to detail and conscientious approach
  • Relevant Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Administrator, Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder) are preferred.
  • Experience working with contractors and external vendors is a plus.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Must pass a pre-employment physical examination including drug and alcohol screening.
  • Proof of Covid Vaccination
  • Must have a valid California Drivers License, adequate automobile insurance coverage and an automobile in working condition; local travel to job sites will be required.
